My name is Brian Kurpis and I am from Saddle River, New Jersey.  I am 22 years old and a senior at NYU in Manhattan.  In my free time I enjoy playing sports, traveling and volunteering my time for good causes.

In the days prior to Hurricane Katrina, I observed news and weather reports and realized there was a potential hurricane that could greatly affect Florida and the Gulf Coast Region. Knowing that this would be important, I decided to register the domain name HurricaneKatrinaRelief.com.  After seeing online support for the 2005 Tsunami victims, I knew I could try to help online if Katrina turned out to be a major natural disaster.

When Hurricane Katrina hit the Gulf Coast, I immediately used my new domain name and launched HurricaneKatrinaRelief.com to help all of those in need. 

I am very proud of what HurricaneKatrinaRelief.com has accomplished thus far. This site will be up and running until every last survivor has been helped. I am always open to any questions or concerns you may have, and I welcome all interviews and input. I hope you enjoy this website and continually remember to help the survivors of Hurricane Katrina.
